Our planned year 7 intake for 2017/ 18 is 175.

We are very proud of our school and we would welcome any prospective parents and students to come and visit us during the normal school day so that you can really get a feel for our school.  If you would like to arrange a tour then please contact the school and we can organise a mutually convenient time.

As we are a community school, Calderdale Council is our admissions authority.  If your address is within Calderdale then please apply via Calderdale Council.  If your address is within a different local authority area then you can still apply for a place at Todmorden High School via the admissions team for your local authority.

Todmorden High school is a non-selective school and admission is available to any student irrespective of colour, creed, gender or ability. Our maximum intake for each year group is 175 and priority is given to the following students:

1. Pupils who are in public care (Children ‘Looked After’) or pupils who were previously looked after but ceased to be so because they became adopted or became subject to a child arrangements or special guardianship order immediately following having been looked after.

2. Pupils living within the defined priority area (catchment area) who have a brother or sister (including step/half brothers and sisters) permanently resident in the same household and currently attending the school (excluding pupils in their final year).

3. Other pupils living within the defined priority area (catchment area).

4. Those pupils who do not qualify under categories 1-3 who have a brother or sister (including step/half brothers and sisters) permanently resident in the same household and currently attending the school (excluding pupils in their final year).

5. Other children.


Year 7 Open Events

We welcome prospective parents to visit the school anytime.  It is a fantastic way to see the school in session and get a good feel for what goes on at Todmorden High School.  You can contact us to arrange an appointment or please just call in and ask for a member of the senior leadership team.  We look forward to welcoming you into our school.

Our Open Evening for prospective Year 7 students for the academic year 2018/19 is 21st September 2017 6-8pm
