Home Learning tasks allow our students to develop and become more independent and effective learners.
In Key Stage 3 all students are given a copy of the home learning timetable, a link to these can be found at the bottom of this page. Every week different subjects will set an extended independent learning task. Students may also receive shorter additional weekly home learning tasks. Students need to ensure that all home learning tasks are completed and handed in within the set deadlines.
Additional Home Learning Tasks
In your child’s journal you will find a number of A5 size Home Learning Tasks. These are set by departments, to encourage students to engage in independent learning. These are also viewable below through the blue buttons. Home Learning tasks are ranked from Higher to Lower ability, and can be selected at home by students to whichever level they feel comfortable engaging in. Teachers will ask students to complete an independent Home Learning task if they are not setting a specific homework task, at which point the student would be expected to select one of the activities from their journal. If you have any questions regarding home learning tasks please contact Mrs Connolly.
In Key Stage 4 homework should be set every week for every exam subject.
