In February 2014, Calderdale Council made a commitment to spending £5m on a new building at Todmorden High School. The building will open Summer 2018. The Todmorden High School building and grounds are currently undergoing a phased plan of redevelopment works. This includes updating the existing buildings and creating a new build, we hope this will compliment the landscape of the valley whilst in-keeping with our eco-friendly ethos. Most importantly, the renovations taking place will be highly beneficial to the students at Todmorden High School. This investment will create more space for learning; providing students with access to the resources and technology they need to continue making exceptional progress. Student Leaders have a high level of importance in the school and have helped to influence these plans.
We have recently received building plans of what work will be undertaken and a brief overview of how the building will look. This week work commenced on the preparation of the ground for the building. A meeting also took place between some members of the Senior Leadership Team and a group of skilled professionals involved in the build including architects and representatives from the Local Authority.
