In February 2014, Calderdale Council made a commitment to spending £5m on a new building at Todmorden High School. The building will open Winter 2017. The Todmorden High School building and grounds are currently undergoing a phased plan of redevelopment works. This includes updating the existing buildings and creating a new build, we hope this will compliment the landscape of the valley whilst in-keeping with our eco-friendly ethos. Most importantly, the renovations taking place will be highly beneficial to the students at Todmorden High School. This investment will create more space for learning; providing students with access to the resources and technology they need to continue making exceptional progress. Student Leaders have a high level of importance in the school and have helped to influence these plans.
Our architect has assured us that the building will open Winter 2017, we have recently received building plans of what work will be undertaken and a brief overview of how the building will look. This week work commenced on the preparation of the ground for the building. A meeting also took place between some members of the Senior Leadership Team and a group of skilled professionals involved in the build including architects and representatives from the Local Authority.
