Students plant cherry tree to mark burial spot of time capsule

Some students gathered today to plant a cherry tree outside our new building block in preparation for the burial of the school time capsule which will take place at the Summer Extravaganza on Thursday 21st June. Students and staff have been adding items to the time capsule which they think link to Todmorden High School, we would like to encourage parents to also add to the time capsule so please feel free to bring in anything you might like to include before the burial on 21st June. The cherry tree has been planted to mark the spot of the burial of the time capsule, so that in future years perhaps future Todmorden students can dig it up and see what it contains.

The school Summer Extravaganza takes place next Thursday 4-7pm. It looks set to be a fantastic event, including a barbecue, stalls, live entertainment and the official opening of our new building block. One of our students is running a shoe box appeal for the Armed Forces, please don’t forget to bring an item to donate to his stall on the day. Students will need to purchase tickets (replacing cash) in order to participate in events/activities, these will be available to buy on the day. If you would like to be involved in our extravaganza, please get in touch with Mrs Connolly at c.connolly@todhigh.co.uk or by phone on 01706813558. We look forward to welcoming you all.
