Summer Ambition Roadshow

Thursday 20th June 2019 saw our Ambition Roadshow take place, including a free BBQ, a talk on County Lines by the West Yorkshire Police, a number of stalls selling fantastic handmade wares, products and games, delicious food provided by our catering department, the annual A-Level and GCSE Art exhibition, karaoke, live music performances from some of our staff members and students, and so much more. We had a great turn out to the event, regardless of the wet weather! We would like to thank all of our students who attended the event and who helped out at the event for all their hard work and commitment, everyone from inside and outside of the local community who attended and supported our student council by participating in events, and our staff for their constant energy and positive input with our students. Special thank you to Mrs Connolly who headed up the event, it was absolutely fantastic!

The Town Mayor said “I just wanted to say thank you so much for yesterday and the brilliant day that we had at Todmorden High, we so enjoyed it. The pupils and staff did the school so proud and are a real credit and asset to our town, so much work put into yesterday’s roadshow by the pupils. As I said to you yesterday, I would love to come along and be a part of any arts project that the school think I could help with as a working artist and also I’m available if you want us to come into the Ewood centre to lend support. I’ll set about arranging those arts exhibitions in Town and let you know the details and of course, I’ll open the events as mayor. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if the school needs me and once again, thank you so much and please pass on my thanks to the pupils, they are ace. You have a good un’ and all the very best.”
