We are committed to providing fresh, healthy meals for our students as we believe this has a very positive impact on their wellbeing and their learning. Todmorden High School is a flagship school for the Food for Life Partnership and we have been awarded their silver award for schools.

With a number of brilliant dining facilities and eating areas, our school ensures that your child receives a high quality, affordable, nutritional diet in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our Catering team are more than happy to help with any queries that you or a student may have concerning their catering account, brunch or lunch. Vegetarian options are always provided.

Special Occasions

We try to incorporate as many special and themed menus into the year. This has included, Roast Dinner Day, Chinese New Year, Halloween, Christmas Dinner and many more!

What is available and how to pay

Students use the ‘revaluer’ to put money onto their account. This is situated outside the dining room and it accepts notes and coins. In addition, parents can also send cheques to the finance office and this money will automatically be added to your child’s account. You can put a limit on the amount your child can spend each day, please contact the school to arrange this.

NOTE: The revaluer machines do not accept the new £5 notes or the new £1 coins. Students will need to come to the main office for change if they have either of these types of currency.

NEW FOR SEPTEMBER 2017- Welcome to Parent Pay!

We are delighted to announce that we have introduced a new online system which will allow you to pay for school lunches and trips.  ParentPay offers you the freedom to make payments whenever and wherever you choose, safe in the knowledge that this is through a secure online tool.

Making a payment is straightforward and ParentPay holds a payment history for you to view at a later date.  Once you have activated your account, using the activation code attached to this letter, you will be able to make payments straight away.

After October half term, we will no longer be accepting cash payments in school and ParentPay will be the only way to pay for anything in school.  If you do not have access to the internet, or if you would prefer not to pay online, then please contact the finance office (finance@todhigh.co.uk).  We can arrange for you to have a Paypoint card which can be used anywhere that you see the logo below.

What does ParentPay do and what are the benefits of the system?

  • Enables you to pay for school meals and other items such as music lessons, school trips and activities.
  • Allows you to see a record of what your child is spending on a day to day basis.
  • When you are paying for larger items such as school trips, you will be able to make regular installation payments and you will have a quick and easy way to see how much you have paid and what is outstanding.
  • Allows the merging of accounts if you have more than one child at the school.
  • Shows you all items available for payment relevant to each of your children.
  • Emails you a receipt of your payment to the email address you register.

How do I get started?

You should have received a welcome letter from ParentPay along with your personalised activation letter to enable you to setup your ParentPay account.  The activation letter contains a username and password to enable you to login securely to the site.  During the activation process, you will be guided through changing your username and password to something more memorable.  You can also merge accounts if you have one or more children at Todmorden High School. If you have not received this letter, please contact admin@todhigh.co.uk.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I do not have access to the internet or I do not want to pay with a credit or debit card?

The school can arrange for you to have a PayPoint card which will be linked directly to your account.  You can then pay for your child’s school lunches anywhere that you see a PayPoint logo.  If you are paying for anything other than school lunches (eg a trip or music lessons), the school will issue you with a barcode to ensure the payment is automatically assigned to the right account.

There are a number of places in Todmorden and the surrounding area which have the PayPoint facility and we will provide the location of your nearest ones with your PayPoint card.  Please contact the finance office to request this (01706 813558 or finance@todhigh.co.uk).

 What cards can I use?

ParentPay accepts MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit cards and Maestro, Witch, Delta, Electron, Solo and Visa debit cards.

Is it safe to make payments on the internet?

ParentPay uses leading technology to process your card transactions securely.  All communication with the bank is encrypted and neither ParentPay nor the school have access to your card details.

What about our personal information?

ParentPay holds a very limited amount of information about you and your child, solely for the purpose of administering your account however; ParentPay does not use your personal information for anything other than supporting the school.  We do not share or give information to any other organisations.  We operate under strict guidelines set out by the Data Protection Act 1998.

ParentPay will never contact you by phone, email or mail and ask you to divulge confidential information like passwords or card details.  If you are ever contacted by anyone claiming to be from ParentPay then please contact us immediately on 02476 994 820.
