• Hope with our Year 7

    Three of our Year 7 girls chose to perform sign language along to a song ‘True colours’ to signify that we are all together in these difficult times and that at THS, we see each other for who we are and will always be there for eachother. The sign language in the video is being used to help the message reach everyone in the community, regardless of their culture/language/disability etc. Students featured: Ocean West (left), Jessica-Mae Gibbons (back), Ava Spence (right).

    At THS we encourage students to express themselves as much as possible! We want students to make personal links to their artwork and to use their life experiences to help them tell their own stories through their work. This student has done just that by using Picasso to inspire his outcomes. We are extremely proud of Paul, his abilities and his HONESTY in making this piece thoughtful, skillful and most importantly personal to him.

  • Music for the Many
    8 Feb

    Miss Brockman has been working with a local music charity called Music for the Many for a while now. Music for the Many organise fundraising concerts within the local community, which then pays for school children in Todmorden to have free music lessons. This starts in the local primary schools but is supported at our school, once the students move up and wish to continue having lessons. Daniel Bath is the founder of the charity and his children have all attended Tod High, so we know him well.

  • Cybergirls Competition 2021
    3 Dec

    As part of the National Cyber Security Centre’s initiative to encourage pupils to consider a career in technology and cyber security, Todmorden High School are recruiting Year 8 girls to join its Cyber Security Hub. Groups of four girls will compete in a series of exciting online problem solving and cyber security challenges. Winning schools will move forward into regional and national finals.   • A-moozing 1/2 term project!

    Ewan, 7KSM, decided to get creative over half term and took Miss Smith’s stress cow on travels with him. The project that he undertook, completely self motivated, involved drawing and writing detailed postcards about his adventures with the stress cow. The outcome of this project is absolutely fantastic, funny, creative and well written. Well done Ewan, what an amazing piece of work.

  • Windows on the world

    Windows on the World: Instead of Lamplighter, Handmade Parade brings you Windows on the World, artworks created by local schools and Tod residents and generously displayed by local shops and businesses. Some businesses have created their own themed displays to help brighten our town as winter approaches. Why not enjoy a socially distanced evening stroll around Tod town centre and take in some local creativity? The windows will be lit up between 5-9pm starting Saturday 24 October until Sunday 1 November.
